A reactive part of safety management, is learning from incidents that have occurred at HAZCO or elsewhere throughout the industry. Safety alerts are a valuable tool for preventing similar incidents from occurring again here or anywhere else. Safety alerts and bulletins are circulated among HAZCO supervisors and reviewed during weekly safety meetings and/or the morning tailgate meeting. These may be internal or external incidents but they are shared among all our staff to serve as a reminder and discussion point for improving the way we manage our business and stay productive and incident free.
