An excerpt from HAZCO’s Health and Safety Policy states that, “management supports the industry-wide safety initiatives including CAPP’s stewardship program and the Partner’s program with Worker’s Compensation Board and Alberta Human Resources and Employment.”

HAZCO’s comprehensive Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) program and detailed manual are specifically designed to address the unique hazards associated with environmental remediation, facility decommissioning, waste management and our operating facilities.

Safety

HAZCO actively participates in and supports industry and government safety initiatives such as CAPP’s Stewardship Program, where stewardship members analyze, plan, implement, measure and review safety performance, programs and activities to ensure they meet or surpass government and industry standards and regulatory requirements.

We are committed to the development and implementation of operating procedures and HAZCO Safety Awards Employee Program practices that provide a safe environment in which all employees may work efficiently, without fear of accident or injury, and to ensure the safety of our employees, clients and the public on our sites. HAZCO’s Behaviour-Based Safety training philosophy is used to build heightened safety awareness on a personal level, where every employee embraces the fact that being safe is the natural and right way of not only performing tasks at work but in living our lives.
