Transportation

Secure, Efficient and Economical
Transportation is often the major component of waste management. The waste must reach its destination safely, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner. Choosing the proper transporter to manage the risk involved with your waste is an integral part of the waste management process.

All HAZCO transportation units are specially designed for the transport of hazardous waste. Each unit is equipped with secondary containment and a loading mechanism that makes us self-sufficient in the field. HAZCO owns and operates all transportation units and has them strategically located throughout Western Canada. HAZCO has driven in excess of 20,000,000 kilometers without a significant incident or environmental event.

As HAZCO concentrates solely on Waste Management, our full fleet is dedicated to servicing generators’ requirements. Our service within Western Canada is well established as a leader.

To further ensure our commitment to transportation, our drivers are continually being trained in TDG, waste management, waste verification, and safe driving practices. In fact, our transportation benefits package includes incentive for safe transportation through a quarterly safe driving bonus.

HAZCO has a significant amount of insurance, including comprehensive EIL coverage. This insurance coverage protects HAZCO and the generator for every service that we provide and every project that we complete.

HAZCO assumes responsibility and liability for the waste at the time the waste stream is loaded into our transport vehicle. This responsibility and liability stays with HAZCO throughout transport, while at our facilities and during transportation to the end disposal site where the disposal company takes ownership and responsibility for the waste.
